Introduction
RamenID checks that someone is a student and, if you want, gives them a single-use discount code in your own Stripe, Polar or Dodo Payments account.
RamenID handles the whole student discount flow for you. A student enters their school email on a page with your logo, confirms it with a 6-digit code, and gets a discount code that works once, for one product, in your payment provider. You never handle the email check, the code, or the coupon yourself.
Two ways to use it
Share a link
Create a discount rule in the dashboard and put its link on your pricing page, in an email or on social. No code needed.
Use the API
Create a single-use link for one student from your own server, and get told the moment they are verified.
You can also use RamenID only to check student status, without any discount. Set API links to "Verification only" in Settings, or share your workspace page. See Branding and links.
How it works
You set up an offer
Connect Stripe, Polar or Dodo Payments, then create a discount rule: one product, a percentage from 1 to 100, and how long it lasts.
The student proves their school email
They open your link, enter their school email and type the 6-digit code we email them. RamenID recognises over 26,000 school and university email domains.
RamenID creates the code in your account
We create a real discount in your provider: single use, limited to that product, and valid for 7 days. The student sees it right away, with a button to your checkout if you set one.
You hear about it
Each verification shows up in your dashboard. Add a webhook URL or turn on email alerts to be told as it happens.
What RamenID is not
- It does not check ID documents or enrolment records. A verification means the person could receive email at a school address.
- It does not move money or process payments. Your provider does that; RamenID only creates the discount code.
- It does not learn whether a code was used at checkout. Your provider's dashboard shows redemptions.
